These are very commonly replaced due to failures when removing and reinstalling the fuel filter and fuel pump assembly. Always have one of these around when changing fuel filters or removing the fuel pump/filter assembly.
They are notorious for splitting when replacing the assembly.
Pls see forum posts. You will see this all over the place. Snapped seal, orings and lots of frustration.
